The Merrithew™ SPX® Max Reformer Bundle is a professional-grade Pilates reformer built for facilities and users who want commercial-level performance without stepping up to a larger and more expensive studio reformer.

Its durable frame, smooth aluminium rail system, High Precision Spring Package, and patented Retractable Rope System provide the smooth, controlled movement Merrithew reformers are known for, while the multiple gearbar, carriage stopper, footbar, and headrest positions make it easy to adapt for different users, exercises, and training goals.

Unlike many commercial reformers at this level, the SPX Max is lightweight and stackable, making it practical for facilities with limited space, multipurpose exercise rooms, and studios running group classes. The included Reformer Box, Padded Platform Extender, and Maple Roll-Up Pole significantly expand the number of exercises you can perform compared to the base reformer alone.

The SPX Max Reformer is approved as a CE Marked Class I Medical Device, allowing it to be used by healthcare professionals throughout much of Europe.

Extended-length upgrades to 103 in (262 cm) are available separately for users taller than 6 ft 4 in (193 cm) or those with longer torsos.

Space requirements

The reformer itself measures 99.5 in × 26 in (252.7 cm × 66 cm).

As a practical guide, we recommend:

• Length: At least 11 ft (335 cm)

• Width: At least 5 ft (150 cm)

• Ceiling Height: At least 8.5 ft (260 cm)

This provides enough room for safe mounting, dismounting, and full exercise movement.

Who it fits (height)

The SPX Max accommodates most users comfortably.

• Best suited for users between approximately 5'0" (152 cm) and 6'4" (193 cm)

• Users taller than 6'4" (193 cm) may benefit from the optional extended-length upgrade

• Shorter users can easily adjust the carriage settings, ropes, and footbar positions for proper fit

Assembly

The SPX Max Reformer Bundle arrives partially assembled.

• Minimal assembly is required

• Most users can complete setup within 30–60 minutes

• Two people are recommended when moving and positioning the reformer
